The responsibility of guiding our youth shouldn't rest solely on the education system. We believe in empowering all community entities to have more meaningful encounters with youth who have been impacted by the juvenile justice/foster care systems and unauthorized immigration.

How We Help:

  • Strategies and improvement planning for existing community outreach programs, nonprofit organizations, or ministries who need support in serving students who have been impacted by the juvenile justice/foster care systems and unauthorized immigration.

  • One-on-One professional development, training, and coaching for outreach leaders and/or program directors who need support in working with students students who have been impacted by the juvenile justice/foster care systems and unauthorized immigration.

  • Academic success planning support for students impacted by the juvenile justice/foster care and unauthorized immigration who attend nonprofit and community organizations and are unable to return to their school districts.

Communities

Guidance & support for parents & caretakers 

We help families understand their academic options, and advocate for their students who have been impacted by the juvenile justice/foster care systems and unauthorized immigration to ensure they're well-equipped for future success.

How We Help:

  • Evidence-based strategies for school partnership and collaboration with teachers, principals and other support staff..

  • Parent, guardian or caretaker consultation who have students with IEPs/504s, school behavior plans, and a history of suspensions and expulsions.

  • Academic success planning and support for families with high school students that includes post-secondary planning.

  • Support for developing and education/community team that will provide academic, social/emotional, and behavioral services for their students.
